Cyberbullying is a form of harrasment that occurs when kid's use the internet to send images or messages that are meant to embarrass another person. Cyberbullying is a problem that affects approximately half of all American teens.
People are able to cyberbully by pretending to be other people. They might spread rumors about others, trick or blackmail people into revealing personal information. They may also send, forward or post pictures of others without their permission.
Some teens say that cyberbullies thinks it's funny. They say that bullies don't think it's that big of a deal, and don't think about the consequences. Other teens are encouraged by friends to do it. They think that everyone does it and that they wont get caught. Many teen victims react in negative ways by trying to get revenge, counter acting the bullying. Other teens react positively by reporting the abuse, or blocking communications with the bully.
Personally,I think that cyber bullying needs to stop. It has been one of the leading causes of teen-suicide, and is very rude and nt funny.I do not see why teens know that cyberbullying can cause suicide, and still do it. It is childish and cowardly to do something mean or offending over the internet.
The schools can show initiative by starting a no tolerance policy for any students in the same schools, whether the bullying takes place in or out of school. This will help lower the amount of cyber bullying that takes place.
